The brief for these was 'nine candles in tiers, like a wedding cake' and this is what came out of it. They are now used in the Netherlands for illumination in the 4th degree of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite. They are made of sapele, stained to a very dark brown and each one weighs about 4.5 pounds. They are just over 18inches tall and 13inches across.

I got an e-mail from the client that started with "Ffffffffff-in fantastic". Why didn't he simply write "flippin'" in full, I wonder?
